March 9, 2010 – Last week, Aaron debuted his photographic art collection at the Lobby Gallery in the Shorebreak Hotel in Huntington Beach, CA. Steps away from the sand, this modern ocean front venue is the perfect compliment for Aaron’s art. The magnificent 7’ image of the emerald shore break wave photographed at Waimea Bay, Oahu is a larger-than-life showcase piece displayed in the busy street front window of the hotel gallery. The opening reception evening was embellished by a slideshow under the stars in the outdoor mezzanine of the hotel, surrounded by sand and fire pits. As part of the Aaron Chang initiative to be active in the community, a portion of the proceeds from the evening were donated to SurfAid International. Aaron’s limited edition prints are available for sale through the Lobby Gallery at the hotel and at his Solana Beach gallery location.

Surfing and Rock and Roll at the Wild Note Cafe
Stop in at the Wild Note Cafe on S. Cedros Ave in Solana Beach where Aaron will be displaying a collection of work called “The Intersection Between Surfing and Rock and Roll.” The Wild Note Cafe is partner to the Belly Up in Solana Beach, an icon for music acts of all kinds. Through out his career Aaron has had an interesting casual crossing-of-paths with the world of Rock and Roll. Surfing with Chris Isaak or Perry Farrell, or shooting with David Lee Roth, Joni Mitchell or Seal, Aaron has woven a collection of favorites to create a unique intersection of the two worlds.
